A weapon is an item used in Castle Crashers by a character to deal damage to enemies. Characters can collect weapons by finding them throughout the game, downloading extra content (DLC), or by unlocking new characters. The weapons a player collects are stored in the Weapons Frog, where the player can go later to change and compare weapons, as well as gain additional information about each weapon.

Downloadable Content refers to extra content not currently included with the game and is available for download from the Xbox LIVE Marketplace, PlayStation Network, and Steam. So far, five downloadable packs have been released, the King Pack, Necromantic Pack, Pink Knight Pack, Legend of the Blacksmith Pack, and lastly, the Can't Stop Crying Pack.
Castle Crashers is set in a fictional medieval universe. It begins with four knights attending a party in a king's castle. During the party, a dark wizard arrives, stealing a mystical gem and capturing four princesses. The king sends the knights to retrieve the gem, rescue his daughters, and bring the wizard to justice.[6] The knights encounter several enemies along the way, including other knights, multiple encounters with a cyclops and a knight who might be cyclops' son, thieves, a giant "catfish", fencers and industrial prince, ninja pirates, demons, a necromancer, dragon, medusa from Greek myth, a frost king, and alien invaders. As the knights progress they succeed in rescuing the princesses, and ultimately the journey culminates in a final showdown with the evil wizard. The knights emerge victorious from the confrontation, having defeated the dark wizard, rescuing all of the king's daughters, and recovering the mystical gem.[6] The knights then ride the reclaimed gem through several empty battlefields on their trip back to the castle. At the castle the king brings one of his daughters for one of the knights to kiss, her face veiled throughout the entire game. As with previous levels, the players fight to the death to claim a kiss from the princess. However, when the winner tries to do so this time, the princess is revealed to be a clown (A character that first appeared in an animation by dan paladin) that blankets the screen in the ending animation with penguins, weasels, kitties, hearts and rainbow beams.[6]
The Xbox 360 version of the game features four downloadable content packs. On January 14, 2009, the King Pack downloadable content was released and added two characters, another animal orb and three weapons. On August 26, 2009, a second downloadable content pack known as the Necromantic Pack was released and further added two characters, one animal orb and two weapons, as well as a picture pack for Xbox Live profiles. Both packs are included as part of the full game on the PlayStation 3 version of Castle Crashers. Additionally, the title character from The Behemoth's previous title, Alien Hominid, is available to play on the Xbox 360 for those who have purchased Alien Hominid HD. As The Behemoth had no way of telling whether an individual had purchased the PlayStation 2 version of Alien Hominid, the character was included in the PS3 version free of charge. Writing on their blog, the developers explained "we are going to attempt what is the most fair and make the logical assumption that by this point everyone has PS2 Alien Hominid, right?"[17] The Behemoth announced A Pink Knight Pack, which features a Pink Knight, an unlockable character in the Xbox Live Arcade version of Super Meat Boy, and five new weapons on February 2, 2011. It was released for the PlayStation 3 on February 8, 2011, with a release on the Xbox 360 on August 27, 2011, along with the Blacksmith Pack which adds one additional character and five new weapons. All proceeds from the content will be donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.[18] If Xbox 360 players own both Castle Crashers and Behemoth's follow-up title, BattleBlock Theater, players can unlock Hatty Hattington, a new orb and three new weapons, as well as Castle Crashers content in BattleBlock Theater.[19]
Inspired by retro co-operative beat-em-ups of the '90s, the game features an adventure mode for up to four players (either locally, online, or a mixture of both), numerous playable characters and weapons, and light action-RPG elements (allowing players to gain experience and upgrade character stats and abilities). Because of The Behemoth's relation to the Newgrounds community, almost all of the game's soundtrack is created by the community members (and is available to download for free). The game not only has references to Behemoth's earlier game Alien Hominid, but also Newgrounds itself and some of the other internet memes of the time.
The game features 31 playable characters. However, only four are available from the start (six in the Xbox One version). The rest needs to be unlocked by either completing various in-game tasks or downloading DLC packs. Each character has unique magic blasts, jumps, and projectiles. (Though most of the magic blasts for non-elemental characters is the same volley of arrows)
Early versions of the game received five post-release downloadable content packs, most of which are paid DLC ($1.99 on consoles and $0.99 on Steam) and some of which were instead included in later versions (with all content included in the Remastered versions).
The story in Castle Crashers is simple and straightforward, echoing classic fantasy stories throughout its roughly 8-hour adventure. At the start of the game, you and your knight friends are celebrating with the rest of the kingdom, partying it up at the king's castle. Suddenly, a levitating wizard with a stolen crystal kidnaps the four princesses, dragging them away to various parts of the kingdom. In order to save the day, you and your group will have to travel far across the land, battling various enemies as you rescue the princesses one by one. The game's story is told with no dialogue, with the main focus being on the wacky antics the knights endure on their adventure. Full of life and color, Castle Crashers is a retro-inspired story that holds up to this day.
Castle Crashers blends classic beat 'em up gameplay with a great progression system, offering an addictive combat loop. Starting at the king's castle, you must progress through the kingdom level by level, displayed on an overworld map similar to classic games like Super Mario Bros. 3. You'll fight your way through forests packed with fantasy animals, trek across a barren desert, and even climb a volcanic mountain. Along the way, you'll fight a huge variety of enemies, including other knights, hulking enforcers, and of course, massive bosses. Each level feels wholly unique in both design and tone, with new enemies and weapons appearing as you progress.

This one is simple. The level "Flowery Field" contains the games catapult. The castle crashers will use it to launch themselves over stuff. All you need to do is launch yourself when the meter is full by pressing . While it may be a little difficult to get the timing correctly the first time, overall it should come fairly easily.
The next spot is much better, if your character level is a bit higher. The Painter boss in the final castle can be killed in about a minute and this battle gives about a whopping 260 gold. He can be repeated without even leaving the level and this is also much better in terms of experience points than the Barbarian Boss.
2: The Flowery Field (Insane Mode). The bees in the beginning of the battle aren't what make this a good farming spot. It's after you fling onto the castle with the light saber guards that yields a pretty good amount of experience.
Many gamers know Xbox Live Arcade best for its wide selection of titles available for Xbox 360 although it actually debuted for the original Xbox 1 year prior with only a couple dozen games. The service was available for Xbox 360 from day one and that's what made it become mainstream as gamers had the ability to download and play all sorts of classic and modern games at a reasonable price. Another innovation that Microsoft introduced at this time was achievements. By playing Xbox Live Arcade games as well as larger titles, you could master challenges that granted you GamerScore. Although this is commonplace now, imagine how baffling it was back in 2005 to learn about this for the first time. Many gamers thought, "What's the point? Can I use this GamerScore for anything?" Sadly, there isn't really any point other than to show off to people who, let's face it, couldn't care less. Well, I guess things certainly haven't changed much in this regard! v1d30chumz 107-175-104-85
That being said, you could download plenty of PS1 classics on the PlayStation Store as well as a bunch of PS2 classics which released later on and that's just perfect for long-time gamers like myself. Even though I still own hundreds of physical games for those consoles, being able to fill out my library with a load of rare titles is something that I only dreamed of as a kid. 2ff7e9595c
